This car has been in my family since the early 80s.Was Given to my stepdad by my great aunt shortly before she passed away 7 years ago.My step dad was diagnosed with Lou Ghiregs(sp?) disease in early 08 and passed away on july 29th 2008.
The car was origanlly a 229 6 cyl. with a 3 speed manual that my mother used to learn how to drive a stick in.The origanl engine and trans were swapped for a 305/4 speed about 3 years ago.My stepdad would let me drive the car quite often(missed driving a manual),and while borrowing it one time, the trans went south.I never got around to getting it fixed before he passed,as it was a little sudden. Now the car is my sons(thats who he wanted to have it),But until he can drive it's in my care.So i've been slowly working on it.It needs metal work around the windshield and floorpans.
Plans are for an LT1/T56(which i have).Nothing to radical, just a great driver that will get passed to my son when he's old enough.
Here She is.

For some reason i thing $300 is to exspensive for a new pan.So i conveniently have my own break, bead roller and welder to make my own.

Heres the reason for the new pans. Also rotted out along the window frame. This is a new peice i fabbed up and welded in.Lots left to do in this area though

Cool project! I drove my 81 for years as a daily driver. Tore it up for paint etc. Now I need to get back to work on it and get it back on the road!
