Just curious as to why there are commonly used and sometimes reported new A1000 fuel pumps listed for sale on Ebay. Any ideas or facts I should know? Anyone know of knockoffs? Once installed why would more than the occasional person take it out?
I am going to need one of these pumps( or something simlar) and been browsing them for a couple of months.

They get noisy from vapor-lock. If you run a a1000 consider the fuel pump controller that aeromotive sells. It cuts the pump speed by half using PWM at low rpm.

I've got two of 'em. Both needed repair due to vapor lock problems. I keep one as a spare these days.

John,
What were some of the symptoms you noticed of the pump going bad? Do they pass a flow test, or just dont pump?
Im curious how to recognize problems with the a-1000, I have one feeding my 427sb with 42lb injectors on a single plane manifold. The under hood temps can really climb?
Could you tell us your experiances?
Thanks Rich
