It has been 4.5 weeks and I am still hurting~
After seeing these x-rays today, I completely understand where the pain is coming from!
Oh well, Doc says it appears to be healing fine and I start aqua therapy tomorrow..........
to be continued..........

Looks like mine! i feel your pain. I took a four story tumble off a balcony! 2 rods and 8 screws later and learning to walk again. Hasn't stopped me at all. Good luck with the therapy!

We make those screws at my work. :)
Don't worry, we take great pains (pun intended) to do the job right on those!

I am 36, I had a lot of 2 stroke dirt bikes and four wheelers? I used to ride half pipes on my skateboard as well as jump ramps and quarter pipes, never got to stupid on a bmx? When you wreck them things, well lets just say it is like getting kicked in the NardS? I have flipped cars, trucks, crashed into trees, I have even been hit in the head with a YarD JarT, when I was 5 years old(1978)? I am very lucky that, nor anything else has killed me yet?
I was just carrying a big TubE TV down some stairs, with a friend, when my back finally broke? But it was like I had been chopping at it with an ax my entire life? That was just the straw that broke my back?
I will prevail! I must~ my sons are 6 and 3, I have to get over this for them!

Well, at least you got some titanium that Rupp's car does not have.
I was told the same thing when I herniated one of the lower discs in my back. Doc said I probably had an issue for years and finally found the last straw. I wish you well in your recovery.

That's how it works, 30 years law enforcement, car crashes, falling off fences, knock down dragouts, bent over dropping a spoon into the dishwasher and the disk lets go. Instance pain, dropped liked I was tazed. By the way, good luck with the healing and God speed.

Looking at the pics I was already thinking that he is taking Pro-Touring way too far. . . . . .
Good luck, be careful and keep the spirit up!

Damn! Any idea what the thread size and pitch is? :)
Seriously, hang in there. Nothing can be worse than the surgery to put that in your spine.

Yikes, just had a laminectomy so I feel your pain to a lessor degree. I don't ever want to hear about sciatic nerve again. Good luck with the recovery. Pool treatment definitely helped me.

Mind if I ask which company? My mom's former employer was one of the larger production shops that produced medical supplies/tools/screws/etc.

Jones Machine Tool, we did work for a company called Medventure they are in louisville,ky and may have moved to jeffersonville, IN.
Very tricky stuff! Lots of very tiny stainless parts, gut hooks and even a stainless steel syringe thing that they put uranium in people with? Plus the nasty titanium screws pictured in the x-ray.

Good Luck with the rehab!! I have 5 screws in my back, would have 6 except the 6th was agravating a nerve. Hope to never have to say that i have a screw loose!
Remember take it easy and do what they say. You only have one chance to do this right!!
