I have been lurking here for a very long time. I have had a 70 Camaro SS/RS for much longer than that. I tore the car apart a long time ago and had every intention to build a pro-touring car out of it. I had high hopes of installing a LSx type engine with a 6 speed and all the modern conveniences. Then I came to the realization that this would take a very long time and I may never actually get around to finishing it. Now I have the itch (for 2 years now) for a corvette (c6) which just came very close to reality for me. I am thinking about letting the Camaro go. Any input on its value? It is a roller with fresh sheet metal. I used NOS quarters. It is an SS/RS, I have the bumperettes and all RS front sheet metal. It is currently sitting on new tires and wheels (15in drag stars). I have the original 4 speed too but not the engine as it was non-original when I got the car. The front Subframe has been powdercoated black as well as the A-arms. All metal is solid, rust has been all fixed.

Incidentally, this car has some sentimental value as it was my mom's car when I was a little guy. I would really like to see this car go to someone with capable hands. I have the interior pieces also but the seats are kinda dingy.

So.... what do you guys think? What should I ask for this (if I were to put it up for sale)? Or shoot me an offer :)

For what a C6 would cost, you could finish her. New cars are cool while they are the current body style, then they diminish and are just last years model. That 1970 Camaro could do everything that C6 could (ok maybe not quite in handling and aero), and will be unique.

To answer your Original question, 5-8K? I am not a Camaro expert.

I am about to send a 65 Fastback out for media blasting. I have a long road, but oh well. Classics never die!

Take Care and good luck,
Chris
