well i sold my 99 over the weekend to a guy from north arkansas(bout 5 hours from me) so i decided to buy my first handgun an EAA Witness 45.acp. has hugue grip and an upgraded wolf spring. not sure what pound triger pull but it is like butter.

I just shot the EAA's cousin the other day... My SIL's boy friend has a CZ 75B. They are really nice shooters. The trick is, the slide is almost 1/2 the size of a 1911 slide, which cuts down on the muzzle rise and recoil. The grip is wide, but the curvature really fits a full size hand well.

My Para P14-45 still carries more rounds of .45 goodness (14+1). ;)

I have to take out a small loan to load the magazines though. :haha:

What's the capacity on it? I just sold off my S&W .40 .. I could not get used to that trigger.. way too stiff, couldn't hit jack from 20ft away. But it held 15 rounds which was nice.

For HD I use a Mossberg 500 w/pistol grip stock (good for corners!) And my carry gun, Ruger LCP with a trace. For backup I'd like to get a Springfield XD-40. I used my brother in laws, it's very smooth and accurate.

I like .45's. Do you carry it or use for hunting?

I've got a mini Para Ordinance .45 which I love to carry because it's so small and is a double action. I can carry one in the pipe with out the hammer cocked. Nice.
The other is my .454 Casull.
Imagine a .45 with almost twice the kick and muzzle velocity and a thirty percent heavier slug.
Treats quarter inch steel deck plating like a piece of plywood.

Anyway, I think you will love you're .45.
Great stopping power.

my witness carrys 10 in the mag and 1 in the chamber and like the 1911 i can carry it cocked and locked. and yea the eaa its a clon of the cz with just a few refinments. and i tried out a sigma and like you said the triger was just to much. and the witness is double/single action also wich is nice

It is a full grip that fills the hand, but isn't too big that someone can't control it.

Tangfolio, EAA and CZ all make a similar firearm.

IMI's Baby Eagle has a similar grip, IIRC. I almost picked one up, but it was pretty heavy for such a "small" firearm.

FWIW, Smith's new(er) M&P is pretty good. They fixed the auto-loader issues they had with their Sigma models.
