Had a screen made to go behind my cowl plate from Twist Machine. Man it looks badd ass. Sorry for the crappy pick. It looks so good that I almost don't want to hide it under the cowl area. https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2006/06/lol-1.gif

Scott,
That looks great! Blends in nicely with our cowl trim plate.

Skeeters65 it is a removable piece that that fits between to hood and the plate. The guy that did it for me charged $30. If you want one let me know.

Looks nice, is that "honeycomb" material?

KudoS to you! That is freaking SweeT!

I'm not cringing. We leave it to the discretion of the owner. That perforated metal is probably about 50% open area. We have tried some 80% open area honeycomb, but it doesn't look as good as Scott's effort. As long as there is no increase in engine temps at idle or reduced performance at speed--go for it.

Has the backside of the trim piece been recessed to accomodate the thickness of the mesh or is the mesh simply added to the backside?

Perry, the mesh it just added to the backside. I will try and take it off this weekend to seperate to two and get a picture.

As far as heat increase or performance loose, I am in the process of redoing my interior now and haven't driven it with it on yet.

P.S. I just took it off the car here are a couple pic's of it seperated. Again it just fits between plate and hood.

I do have a question, I have a cowl hood plate and I do notice that it is very close to the cowl. Does adding this screen make the cowl plate hit the cowl panel? I will post a pic on how close it is if I can get around my inpection sticker.
