So my brother and I are taking my mom to Memphis (sun-weds). Plan on seeing all the normal stuff: Graceland, Sun Records, etc. Is there anything there automotive related that I should see??

Thx

I don't know about car stuff, but eating BBQ at Rendevous in downtown is a must-do. The brisket is out of this world. They are closed on Sundays.

Carl, you bet me to the punch, I second the above statement, absolutely a must if you are in Memphis. Of course, you will be in the Beale st. area, check out all the happenings there, especially at night. There are some very good bands in the area. Gibson guitars has a factory there too, well worth the price of admission to see the classics made.

+1 on the Beale St. and BBQ recommendations. A great area, especially at night. Though if you plan to eat, go before night. :)

Leonards BBQ is good but not as "TRENDY" as the Rendezvous or as good in my opinion(be sure to try the ribs), also check out Texas De Brazil(very pricey) which is in Peaboby place right near where you are staying. The closest thing I can think of Car Related is a classic car museum in Tupelo Mississippi which is about 100 miles southeast of Memphis. It is also an Elvis attraction site also because it is actually where he was born and raised. There is also a small museum for Elvis there as well. Anyway hope this helps.

BB Kings place is good for food and music. Comp Cams is there, they might give you a mini tour? Andrew is there now, he may be able to point you around.
