View Full Version : How big of a line for 600 HP with an in-tank pump?

I was going to use a Tanks Inc sump kit with a 255 lph pump, which seemed plenty. However, it uses 1/4 NPT fittings with an ID at best of 3/8 of an inch.

I didnt think that would be enough line for the volume I'd expect my motor to need. Any opinions?

3/8" I.D. is all you will need.

They way the folks who made my tank explained it to me, since it's only that one place where the line is so small it won't be a problem. Just make sure you run at lease 3/8" line for the rest of the run.
