I have a new zz385 350 with forged crank ht cam 1.6 roller rockers powder forged rods hypertecitic pistons and serpintine sys. holly 750 carb with 700 r4 tran rated for 500hp, want to put a zex perimeter plate 100hp shot and i with have air fuel meter in car. engine alone is rated at 430hp. this is a street car that might see the track 4 times of year. pretouring weakend warrior

A 100shot is going to put your rear wheel torque very close to the max rating of that tranny with a ZZ385 in there. I would do no more than a 75 shot and keep my fingers crossed even then. I put a 100 shot on my ZZ3 (w/ported head option 375HP) and quickly lost my 2-3 shift in a 4L60 (700R4) tranny rated at 500hp as well. Had to pull it and put another $550 of Transgo HD stuff and a shift kit into it to bring it back to life and make it reliable with that 100shot. And that was using a progressive controller - a simple on/off button system has a more harsh instant loading to the tranny.
