It sure does.
To eliminate permeation, you need to use a Teflon-lined hose. See this. (http://www.maxchevy.com/columns/parsons/iii_6-parsons-1.html)

Yep! Mine does. It gets really bad if you park it more than you drive it.........

Thank you
I haven't had any issues in the past but I didn't use it to run the entire length of the car. I'm using it on my personal car now in the same manner ie combination of hard line and 350 hose. I'm not done yet so I can't say if it's doing that on my car.

Hey Wayne- great timing, I just got my lines for my 67 from Brown and miller. Teflon lined, crimped for high pressure. I cant believe how flexible this stuff is. Nice quality hose, I needed some piece of mind, I was having nightmares of my russells hose blowing open and spraying fuel everywhere(where's one of those smilies with a flamethrower when you need it)

It is worse on high pressure FI cars then low pressure Carb cars.

It is worse on high pressure FI cars then low pressure Carb cars.I hadn't thought of that, but that makes sense: 7 psi vs 40-60 psi. Plus the fuel is pulled by the engine mounted pump rather than pushed by a tank mounted pump, so that the pressue is exerted on a much shorter portion of the fuel line.

I'm running Jegs 350 which has to be the same or similar and have not noticed the fuel smell. I have hardline the length of the car for fuel and return but atleast 10 feet of soft line for my vent, tank connections, and engine connection. I have noticed that the fuel hose definitely hardens when put in service and will be keeping a close eye on it. I did recently disasemble a hose and it was harder but looked fine.

Todd, I'll bet if you put your nose right next to the hose you'll be able to smell gas.

I want to say the Earls Pro 350 hose works great as I use it a lot. I thought it was the Russell black hose that had the fuel smell issues.
