We'll I've joined the ranks of the unemployed.
I came in this morning to find my boss there waiting to tell me the news.

Sorry to hear that! What were you doing for work? Monday's suck. I got mine on a Monday when I used to work high-tech. Took the train to work and by 9:30 I had a box of my stuff and had to call my wife to leave her work to drive 40 minutes to pick me up. Glad I didn't bike to work that day.

I've done Environmental Consulting for the past 15+ years.
I know the feeling. I had a company car so I drove it home with all my stuff (including refrigerator and cabinets) and brought my bike back to ride home.

Sorry dude, I have been on unemployment since August of last year. They kept me on but as part time, so I guess that's better then no working at all. I drive for UPS and this economy is so crappy there is no work for anyone.

Sorry to hear about that. I was let go June 08 and didn't pick up a new job until January 09. Hang in there. Environmental is terribly slow now.

Steve,

Sorry to hear it. Did they tell you if this is a temporary thing?

My wife is in commercial RE construction Mgt. She may have someone in her network that might be able to help you. PM me with the name of your former employer so we can check that off the list if she knows them.
