Hello, my name is Rick Huffman. I am in the Navy stationed at Bangor Submarine Base. I've been an avid car enthusiast since I was about 14. I bought my first project when I was 15. It was a 1969 Ford Galaxy fastback. I am from Minnesota so that car was more rust then it was car. It was 300 bucks and I guess my parents figured they'd rather me tinker on that then cause trouble like most 15 year olds. Needless to say, I tore the car apart, cut it to pieces and when it came back to putting it back together I wanted nothing to do with it. It ended up being towed to the junk yard. After I got my license at 16 I got a 1966 Ford truck that was immaculate. You could eat off that truck. It was my driver though so I didn't touch it. Now it belongs to my Dad. I then got a 1967 Impala convertible. I went through a lowrider phase so I put some wire wheels and white walls on it and called it good. It was sweet! I went to boot camp and my Dad was too busy to take care of it so I had him sell it. Since then I've owned many cars and trucks. An 86 Monte SS with a 383 stroker, 96 Dodge Ram with a 408 stroker were my babies. I've had to let them go due to some financial problems I had. Now I'm back and building a budget pro-touring 68 GTO clone. I've got the body almost complete. next will be suspension and brakes then get her all hooked up and running and worry about the interior later down the road. Anyways, I'm excited about it and glad there's a community like this to help me along the way. I hope to inquire and learn more in the near future. Thanks!

Welcome aboard (excuse the pun), it's nice to see another new guy here in Washington.

Yup! Welcome. I guess I'm from the bottom of the state (Vancouver), but as was just said, good to see another N.W. guy. If there are enough people up here, we ought to get together some time.

Howdy and welcome... seems us PT folks in the northwest are growing in number. Must be that so many folks are moving up here from Cali... :naughty:

I was talking to Anthony yesterday about how we should get together this spring up here and have a BBQ or something. We were thinking around Vancouver would be a good place for all the Washington and Oregon guys to meet up. Maybe sometime in May. What do ou guys say?

Unfortunately, I won't be able to do anything until summer... too much studying, teaching, projects, performances, etc... Still, if you guys get something going, post it up anyway.
