View Full Version : Fuel line routing at fuel rails

The way I have my EFI setup on the 455 is I put the fuel pressure regulator *before* the fuel rails. I know there seems to be debate on which is better, before or after but in both cases it sounds like either works.

So anyway, I went with putting it before. My question is, do I need a crossover at the back of the fuel rails? Or can I get by with just having the fuel enter the back of the passenger side fuel rail, crossover at the front and then cap off the rear of the drivers side rail?

If I have to run a crossover, that's fine but it would help out on space if I could get by without it.

Thanks,

I think it might work without the second crossover, but on the other hand, you are running it in the way MOST likely to have pulsation issues, since you are regulating the pressure, then running it through one rail, and into the next. I think that last injector will have the most problems, but I have no idea how bad it'd be or if you'd even notice.
Why not cap both fronts and run a Y at the back, or one line from each end of the regulator to each rail?

I worked construction and did utilitiy work . When we put water lines in they always were closed loop where the streets were fed from both sides . It improves pressure . This is what Aeromotive recomends.

Thanks for the help guys. I managed to make things fit by moving a few things around and reorganizing my fuel lines.
Hopefully it should work.
