Alright I think I am starting to go crazy. I keep thinking of small (and some big) ways to change the look of my Cutlass.

I have the '80 Cutlass that has the front grill panels that extend up over the top over the header panel. What I would like to do is make it so that the grills are only front facing (I will make custom aluminum grills) and do not extend over the top of the header panel at all. This would require making two filler sections just above the grills. What do you guys think found be the best way of making these fill ins? We are only talking a section maybe 10 inches wide and 1-1.5 inches deep.

I think the header is fiberglass?

just use some sheet metal or wood and make a small mold and then lay chopped FG mat into it in the shape you want. pop the mold off and then build up the FG to the same thickness and sand it down.
