My name is Scot and I live here in TN with Bill Howell and i'm needing some good advice from people here who already have or had these tires. I just purchased my 3 piece rims for my Buick T-Type and now i'm looking into a good tire for the car that will work well at our RTTH event and on the street.

BFG - KDW2 has the exact size tires I want but I keep hearing about noise, How bad are these tires when it comes to noise?

I like the look, I know they work well on the autocross but I just don't want tons of noise while cruising down the highway.

Here are my sizes:

FRONT: 255 / 35 ZR18
REAR: 285 / 40 ZR18

No noise that I've noticed. But then again I'm running a 540 with flowmasters and dumps. probably wouldn't hear a freight train.

I do like the ride and seem to grip well as well.

Car and Driver recently performed a summer tire comparison. They also noted that the KDW's were a bit noisy.

Read the rest of the article for other tire options. KDW's are a great all around tire though.

Thanks for the input guys but I decided to go with TOYO proxes T1R tires instead of the KDW2's. I should have my new three piece rims next week sometime, I went with 18''x 9.5'' in front and 18"x10" in back..

With 255 / 35 ZR18 in front & 285 / 40 ZR18 in back..

These should look pretty nice on the ol Turbo Buick! :)

they purr like kitties. Louder than a lot of tires, but dunno if they're really loud enough to be bothersome the way most of us have most of our cars set up.

I have the TOYO TR1's 255-40 and 285-40 nice quiet tire. From time to time I will get a car in at work with the KDW2's I replace them with TR1's because of the noise the car will never sell to the general luxury car public with the BFGs
