i've heard of it before- and even if they don't choose to send you parts for your car, they will no doubt compile some sort of a list of the most asked about models, which they could then sell to companies looking for what kinds of cars to make parts for.

well they said that i was accepted for a sponsorship i just need to put in a card number and pay 100 bucks...sounded a little iffy so i figured id ask the thousands of people on this site to see if anyone could help and i think my 78 TA could use some free parts lol

That is not the way a sponsorship works. I get notices all the time I won this or that or was picked for this or that. However, if the second sentence is to send THEM money, I just hit delete.

Send them money so they can put you in touch with potential sponsors???

Scam

If they are acting as a broker, they would be paid by the sponsors/manufacturers themselves.

It is a scam. you pay them to find a sponsor. One of them say they will refund your $$$ if they don't find you one. But they are also a decal ship and send you a couple of decals so you are out your $$$$ as you are sponsored. It is better to do it on your own. But don't expect much as manufacturers get dozens of people every day looking for free *****. You have to have something to offer them. Like a mag shoot or the like. They want some major exposure.
