The best posi differential to use is the Detroit TrueTrac. They are really beefy, don't have clutches to wear out and are only priced a little more than other posi units. We have used them in many projects and haven't broken one yet.

What are you going to use the car for? That makes a big difference. The Eaton Posi is the best all around unit. It works very well for street/strip cars. The Truetrac works well for road racing and auto cross. A Detroit Locker works well for a serious drag car that sees some street use. Auburn is good if you need something heavy to hold something down, or for a boat ancor.

thanks using car only for street fun. which of the two will be the least jurky. as far ass cornering. I'm running a 305 rear tire want a posi that will let me turn but lock hard when getting after it in the straight away.

We sell a lots of Tru Track 12 bolts to the Pro Touring Community. ParsonJ (posted above) went for a Detroit Locker to a Tru Track, made all the difference in the world.

I like the Eaton Posi for most street cars. Very few people have any problems with them. They are smooth on the street and work better for drag racing than the Truretrac. You just need to be sure that you use the right oil additive and you won't have any problems.

when you get into a custom diff, they are all about the same price to narrow and build so might as well go for an unbreakable Dana 60 IMO. just saying......
