Sorry if this is a repost.

Anyone who was at Columbus last year most likely saw this. It is unbelievable.

I saw and heard this car last year at Columbus. OH MAN. What a beast. Pure craftsmanship. Under priced at 120,000

It's a shame it was never ran.. I would be curious. Heck, at least put it on a chassis dyno and let it sing.

Yup. And ad says Mileage: 75, so confirm that it runs properly before spending six digits. Love the car, but that engine is WAY complicated.

QUOTE FROM EBAY AD: "When these engines were raced with 159 cubic engines they were app 1000 horsepower in 1980. This engine is 276 cubic inches and with a much improved injection system and turbo."

So if it only makes 1000 HP, in current trim, thats 3.6 HP/cube @276 CID--which is bananas :bananna2: AND bonkers :rolleyes:

That car is badass. Certainly not another one like it.

That car did the autocross last year, smoked like a freight train the whole time. Unless they have fixed all that, I would not have the engine setup. Looking cool at the show don't impress me anymore, show me something with rubber on the quarters if you want to get my attention.

A risk you run when you build what you want, not what is popular.

car is way sick IMO. If I remember correctly, didn't it replicate an experimental Falcon fastback from way back when?

Well I love the car and concept. That is, everything, except from behind the b-pillar and above the belt line. Had he left that area original, or just minor tweaks, I'd love the car.

A curiosity, thats all. The original article was very interesting and the craftsmanship is certainly fine. Someone else should have handled the design work though!!!

Bill, you say the nicest things....:smoke:

That Falcon is definitely cool. Ditto on the over engineered powerplant. I would have gone with a TT 302, a detuned Cup engine, or a fuel injected all aluminum 500+ engine.

Does not look like it. Although a deal could have been generated by the ebay listing.

I remember the PHR feature;

http://www.popularhotrodding.com/features/0812phr_1962_ford_falcon/index.html

Eventually, Ken will take the Falcon upstate to the Maxton Mile and get the empirical data he craves and discover how well this creature really does perform with 29 psi of positive manifold pressure. He's pretty sure it'll run 250. "I feel confident."

Sure it will. :smoke:
