Maybe its the snow finally melting around here or the fact that I found this awesome site, but either way I promised that this would be the year to get my '67 RS ride running. It has been on an "extended" frame off resto that was waylayed about 7 years (marriage, kids, building a house and mortgages), but now is the time to act. So I have decided to rob the kids college fund and put it to some good use. I'll be sending the next message from the garage, after my wife kicks me out!!! (at least I'll be closer to my car)

I look forward to being part of this site and who knows maybe this will be the year that we get it done. I will post some progress pics when I can and I welcome the advice I can get.

Thanks,

67kato

There is a show at bear mountain ever wed night I have tryed to rally interest in meeting there but no luck so far. A good friend of mine lives in poughkipsie and works in beacon at the chevy dealer , we were gonna try and make a few shows this summer.

Hi I live in Rockland county, 10 minutes from Bear Mountain. I go every week to the show, its the best around. Im trying to get my car back from a bodyshop in Highlandfalls, as some old lady hit my Z last summer.
I think the show starts in May...

Someone in our area should set up a meet at that show. I would do it but I am basically too lazy. If someone else gets the ball rolling I will of take credit for it.Seriously though it would be fun to meet at a show or get a few cars at some obscure roadside burger joint and relax . i could probably get a few cars together on my end . one guy has a 930 turbo but its ok his 69 mach one is almost finished , we cut him some slack.

Bear mt is a nice place. Last year i was there for a wedding at the same time they were having a VW convention. The good news is that we were up wind cause it looked like a forest fire with all the pot they were smokin'

Hey Brad its Dirk ,Scotts friend with the orange streetbike, we all met in white plains a year or two ago and went to the show in bedford and i drooled over your 66 stang. i followed you guys on my bike and did a sideways burnout up westchester ave . I assume your that brad, right? I bought a 69 and i want to put some miles on it this summer.the suspension is still a mess but I am sorted it out as my budget allows.
bummer about scotts car but he will be back.
