I was talking to Wayne yesterday. He is a couple of weeks away from having a 2nd gen clip ready with c5 components, that have narrow rails, allowing for up to 10 inch wide front tires. My question, in your expert opinions, do you think a wayne due clip is worth the $$$ in a 2nd gen, or would you guys stick to global west stuff. Thanks for your opinions, any answer is appreciated.

He led me to believe it would be the same as the rest of them, around $2500.00. But that doesn't include any of thes suspension stuff or brakes, so I guess it'll end up being around a $4-$5K project when it is done.

$0.02 for free,
The 2nd gen is a much better design. In addition, there has been TONS of R&D from the stock car world. I'm pretty sure that Howe's 2nd gen clip will let you run a 10 tire on a 60 inch track width. Just not sure of the turning radius. $4-5K would have to yield a quantum leap in performance. If anyone can do it, it's Due.

Where can I find the Howe Front Clip Replacement. I forgot to mention, I already have the global west newest uppers and a GW Swaybar, full del-a-lum bushings in the front end. Does anyone have some practical experience that can compare between a setup like this to a Corvette Front end.

I got this in a mail from Wayne :
A complete C-5 frame with all new C-5 parts will be about $6,200.

Thats what Wayne wrote to me so thats pretty expencive it better be real good.
I had the exact same question as you in my mind Johnm.
And how good are the C5 brakes? is Bear brakes better?
