Hi all,
I really would love to have my Chrome bumpers and trim to have the brushed aluminum look. Is there a technique or product I could use that could convert the chrome into brushed aluminum look? Any help would be appreciated.

Today on Musclecar TV they were painting some Foose wheels that were chrome & they used some red scotch bright type pads on the chrome & it gave it a brushed aluminum look.

Make sure your strokes are in one general direction. Don't swirl it.

make sure its 3m # 07447. It you use a off brand they tend to be a bit more rough.

does anyone have any pics? Also LateNight, when you say to go in one general direction, do you one direction then 90 degrees or just that one direction?

I mean only one direction. Otherwise, it won't look brushed, just looks like someone took some sandpaper to it.

That exile cycle guy Russel something uses scotch bright and WD-40 to acheive the brushed matte look on his bikes. Ive done it myself and it works...
