I wanted to post this here to let others know to make sure you get all the info from the person on the phone when you order.
I posted this on the impalas forum, but was told I was "Vendor bashing"
2 weeks ago I placed an order with Impala Bobs
Needed wipers for my 61, and figured I'd order a couple other items to make it worthwhile.
Ordered;
2 wiper blades
1961 assembly manual
1961 owners manual
rear package tray
Called order in, said it would be 2 weeks for the wipers.
Noticed the next day I was charged $117.
Waited 2 weeks, no parts.
Called them to ask, guy on phone said everything was backordered but the package tray. Could not tell me when it I could expect it, and why I was charged so much.
Sent my call to another person, recived his voice mail, left a message.
Next day, no return call, so I called them back.
Was told the package tray was being custom made, and everything else was on back order, and no idea when to expect any of it.
Asked why I was charge $117. The package tray was only $29.95
Said I was charged $77. for shipping for the entire order!
Now, the day before I had ordered 4 15" wheels from California, shipping was only $70 for all 4 wheels.
So, I asked to cancel the order, said I sill get a refund in 3 days.
We will see how that works.
Called Sinclairs, they had wipers in stock and they were $10 cheaper!
I now know who to order my parts from.
