I am probably going to get castrated for saying this...

My thoughts...

I think you guys build incredible cars with an amazing attention to detail, well thought out modifications and beautifully crafted... but I think you should leave your logo off of the car. Your work speaks for itself and the car will instantly be identified as a Ring Bros. masterpiece even without the logo.

Realize this is just an opinion...

wow amazing car. The execution of the detail work is outstanding to say the least. I like the firewall as well. The hood is just wicked looking.

The only critical thing I will say is that the '64 is a pretty busy car with tons of strange curves and body lines. It can get cluttered quickly with gingerbread. This car may push that ragged edge for me. I'm no pro builder either so what do I know. lol

I agree to an extent.. One badge is enough. The emblem on the rear looks nice, and I would leave it at that. An artist doesn't sign his painting in all 4 corners.

Great build.

Staci,

Who is doing the interior?

The car is really innovative as usual. Can I come and sweep the floors or perhaps be a "free" assistant so I can pick up some machining ideas? Seriously, it grabs your attention as much as kona, reactor, and razr!!

I've got my fingers crossed that it is somehow but the 427 painting makes me think otherwise.

I believe it is being built for the owners of S & S Cycle, a well known maker of aftermarket Harley engines and components.

its a very nice fairlane. Not a falcon. Please dont build a falcon. I already have too many ideas that i dont have the time to get done.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Less in this department is more.....The sickness of the emblem on the back is almost nullified, and is more than enough to brand the car in and of itself.

I normally don't ever post a critical comment on any board, but IMHO, the graphics really takes a lot away from the bold color palette and a otherwise wood worthy machine. otherwise :1st: Love The Hood design and use of Carbon.

We are building the car for Ken and Ev Smith - owners of S&S Cycle. The motor is a Roush 427 8 stack.
Steve at Upholstery Unlimited is doing the interior - he did the Camaro for us. Super great guy! Thanks for all of the feedback.

I know I am bringing this post back from the dead but are there any more in progress (pre paint) pictures of this car? This car is what opened my eyes to the 64 Fairlane... Beautiful. I saw it in person at the 2010 car craft show in MN. The pictures don't do it justice.
I now own a 64 fairlane 2 door post car that I am doing a Pro-Touring build on. In the phase of collecting parts right now.

Yep, seen that and the carcraft article, the videos and all. I know they chopped the top and talked about a pie cut so that they could utilize the factory 1/4 windows. Not sure I am going to chop the top but I have another roof for spare parts just in case something happens along the way. Doors, glass, fenders, quarters, hood, bumpers and trunk lid... I wanted to make sure I have replacement parts for any of those Oops or just in case moments. These Fairlanes are I think unappreciated as a muscle car. I really like the looks and they did have the Big Brother Thunderbolt in the 64 Lineup. Clones sell for big $ and the real thing sells for crazy $. The Afterburner Sold in Jan for $220K ($247K after bidder fees) Worth every penny I imagine.
