Hey guys, I'm new to the site. I live in the DFW area. I just started on My S10 Project. After seeing all of the high quality builds on this forum, I was hesitant to join lol, but we're all after the same end result.

The engine crossmember w/ lowers:

Those were just a couple of pics of my build. Once I get settled in, I'll make a build thread!

Can I ask why you rotated the frame tubes? I'm thinking body mounting would be more difficcult, so trying to understand what your rationale was

"North to South" (pictured above) is stronger structurally. We didn't want to take any chances on mounting a motor.

Now under the cab, yes, it would be terribly difficult to mount a cab on a 5" tall frame rail. We decided to roll it "East to West" from the back of the engine crossmember to the rear bumper (like the two rails in the original post).

Hmm...

Not sure I'm buying the comment that it's "stronger structurally", but I'm not the one doing the design, so I'll wait and see the build thread.

The rocker arm steering is certainly innovative- was there no simpler way to achieve your goal?
