For the 1st Gen Camaro/Firebirds, what is the gap from the frame to core support that the mount has to fill? The mounts I got are all the same height, but I believe the core supports should be thinner.

Ram Air Restorations. All 6 mounts were the same size in every way. The locking sleeve doesn't fit through the upper hole (I measured the hole as 1.4" and their sleeve is 1.5"). They said this is how all their kits are, but it was developed off a 2nd Gen body. Recommendation was to open up the core support hole, but I'm not too keen on cutting rust free virgin metal and that still doesn't address if the mounts should have been thinner than the others.

Not only should the bushing be a slightly different size, but the bolt sizes should be different too. I wouldn't cut the core support either. Will he take the mounts back?

Didn't ask yet. Problem is, there return policy is only within hte first 30 days for a full refund, and then after there is a restocking fee and you're responsible for shipping. I didn't put them on right away because of priority issues, so the problem wasn't noticed until much later. If I have to get hit with shipping and a restocking fee it's hardly worth the effort of returning them.

That stinks. Sounds to me like he didn't do his homework. I am running DSE mounts on my 2nd Gen and they dropped right in.

Yeah I should've done the same. They carry a product I wanted that DSE didn't, so I figured I'd just order everthing from the same place.
