I tried to search for 'Z06' in the Wheels section and I recieved no matches to the search. However I did find at least a few post with Z06 mentioned in them on my own. Am I doing something wrong? Or is the search not picking up on these threads?

Thanks for the help.

R.J.,

You're not doing anything wrong. I just tried several different ways and I could not get the search feature to pick up any thread with Z06. I did however get 313 responses from Corvette. On a hunch, I tried searching for "Z" and nothing came up either. I think the search function may be word sensitive only and will not pick up anything that it does not recognize as a word.

I just tried searching Z28 with no results, and also 69 with no results. However, 69 Camaro yielded several results, but not for 69, just for Camaro. Z06 Corvette also yielded a number of threads, but for both searchs, it stated: The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search: Z06. (69 for the Camaro search) I'm pretty sure that the search feature will only return results for word searches.

Search terms must be at least four characters long - any shorter and it's ignored by the search engine.

I find it annoying I cannot search for anything containing a number. Here's a brief list of failed searchs:

"10 bolt gears"
"8.5 inch"

Can you modify the search engine to allow those?

It's not the number - it's the length of the search term. A search for "1968", for example, is long enough to work.

Ralph/Larry, can the minimum keyword length be adjusted, or is it not configurable?

I think the minimum length per VBB is 3 digits, but I'll try and play around with some settings tonight and see if I can change it.

I just changed the search to allow a minimum of three digits instead of four. This should help.

Thanks Guys. I'll try it again today.
