It is a 1965 Chevelle wagon 2dr built by D&P Classic Chevy for a TV series called Chop, Cut, Rebuild: The Series. The hint is found on page 27 of Super Chevy. After a quick search I found http://www.ccr.tv (http://www.ccr.tv/) and then browsing through the site I found these guys on the sponsors page. http://www.oasiswheels.com/ they made a custom wheel for D&P and the paint on the car matches the paint on the cover. http://www.oasiswheels.com/custom%20wheels/dp%20performance.png

P.S. Steve, what juicy bits of info did you get at your LS7 building session? Like how much the crate engine will cost or just the heads alone?

What he said about the car.. I think they were short a car for the cover so they went with one that is not featured in the mag. I will check into it more :)

As for the LS7 build story..

1. LS7 heads will not work on a LS2, 6 or 1 :(

2. Crate motor will be EXACTLY like the production motor.. Titanium Pistons, dry sump system and all the rest

3. Cost is still unknown.. my guess is between $12k and $15k.. but that is a guess.. it is a hell of a motor. Go have a shop build you a 427cui inch LSx motor with Ti rods/valves and a dry sump system.. that is some pricy stuff to be sure.

4. The engine mount locations on a LS7 are in EXACTLY the same place as a LS2, 6 or 1.. Putting one in another car should be as easy as an LS1 install except you will need to find a place for the 6"x24" oil tank (or fab your own.

5. The Scavenging pump is built into the motor so that is one less thing to worry about.

If I say anymore Johnny will beat me to death ;)
