I was at a local car show this past Saturday, and I saw a Silver 70-73 Camaro that was pro-toured "Big Time", this car looked "Sweet". It had the guts to match it's look. Any way, the rear bumper had a brushed finish on it, that really went well with the silver paint. My GTO is also silver, and I thought that the same effect would look sweet on my Goat. Have any of you had this done?, if so, how much did it cost you, and is there anyone in Houston that any of you know about that do this type of finish?

i think i've heard of people getting the brushed finish on chrome parts with steel wool and a matte finish clear coat of come kind... don't go running out and doing that just yet, but i don't think it would be particularly expensive.

Brushed Nickel. Nickel is the plating they lay down right before the chrome goes on. Has a nice color to it, and has a finiah similar to stainless
What Mike said. You brush the final coat of nickel or copper after polishing it and then chrome plate it but it holds the brushed look instead of being a mirror because it's over a brushed surface, not a polished one.
I designed and wheeled that car so I'll ask him to chime in on where he had it done.
