Anyone know where to get some good outdoor wooden playset plans? I've found some really nice playsets for my son but they are ridiculously overpriced. Building one with my dad would be no problem. The trouble is finding a good set of plans. Looking for something with a fort like structure, slide, rock climbing wall, swings, etc.

Check Home Depot or Lowe's. They have kits that include all the hardware, slides, steering wheels, swings and such. All you have to do it to buy the wood.

Google Backyard Adventure for ideas, or you can do as I did and score one for FREE! I've got two active little ones and wanted one but didn't want to pay the ridiculous price for it. I drove by this huge BA set in my neighborhood for a year, until one day all you could see was a portion of the slide above the brick wall surrounding their yard. I knocked on their door and asked about it and they told me they were getting a pool and I could have it if I hauled it off by the weekend. I did. Pressure washed it, replaced some uprights and stained it to my liking and for about $300 my kids have a multi-level fort with a tube slide, a wavy slide, 4 swings and a rock wall. Hot rodders are the first recyclers right!

Googling playset plans looked pretty helpful.

I bought one from these guys for half the price of 'Rainbow" sets. It is very nice...

just get a pile of lumber and start building. kids really don't care if it really looks like a castle, as long as they can pretend it is.
