Not new to the forum...but I just moved to the Greensboro, NC area and am looking for some local members to hang out with (and maybe help with an occasional project here & there).
I'm out in Summerfield (off highway 150 about 2 miles west of 220).
Currently, my Camaro isn't on the road. I decided to ditch the Boyd wheels and ordered a set of Team III mini-lite replicas. The wait is killing me...I have new tires in the garage and the weather is awesome here.
While I wait for the wheels, I'm going to take the time to get an emergency brake installed. Not having one in South Florida wasn't a big issue parking wise because there were no hills, but up here, I want to have it installed. Just need to get the parts ordered up.
PM me if you know of any cool car stuff going on. I found a site that has a pretty thorough listing of stuff in the area, but could always use more info on local events.

Welcome to NC!!I grew up in GSO area myself. Little bit of a drive but I know they do a show in High Point called let's talk cars that can get pretty big, also show's in Burlington,NC home of 3 chevelle stores. I live about a hour from you but could always lend a hand. There are alot of car guys in this state and GSO has alot of cool car guys. I can get you some more info on Lets Talk Cars if you would like. Brandon oh there are other members here trust me and very nice looking car makes mine look BAD!

I live about 40-50 miles from you in Pittsboro. Thats 10 miles south of Chapel Hill. There are cruise-ins in Raleigh, specifically Grill 57 on 3rd Sat of every month. Usually 175+ cars there.
There was a car show at Hooters in Greensboro last Sat. I started to go, but had too much to do at home.

i live in asheboro about 45 mins to an hour from you, High Point used to be the place to go until they had a big street racing bust and impounded over 100 cars! but burlington and winstom salem are hot spots from what ive heard, not much goes on here in asheboro though, occasionally theres alot of fast cars out here, a friend of mine has a tt cobra makin around 1300 hp, mostly egotistic mustangs here:hail: lol, but welcome to NC i hope you like it here!

Welcome to the carolinas! You will fit right in with the car crowd in Greensboro. My inlaws drag race Novas and Camaros at Piedmont Dragway, which is not too far from Greensboro. They live in Greensboro as well and that is where I got my 3 Nova from.
Welcome, I'm right down the road in Thomasville.....

Yes, it's driveable and runs great.
I even have the tires here....but for some reason, it just doesn't want to move when I mount everything up like this.

Big thanks out to Brandon for loaning me an extra set of wheels.
Still can't get my car on the road though...the 15x8 stock rally wheels don't work on my lowered front end.
Anyone in the area got a set of 15x7 Rally wheels with tires I can borrow for a couple weeks?
Every night, it kills me to see how nice the weather is and my car is just sitting there.
