I know that there has been some recent discussion about doing an LS1 T56 swap and I am very interested. I have read all the post I could find about this and have found some good information. However, I am wondering if there is anyone who has any experience with actually doing this swap. I know that McLeaod makes an adapter to mount up to an older bellhousing. Has anyone used this? Does anyone else make a similar product?

I have one and it seems to work just fine as far as fitment goes. I don't my car running yet so I can't comment on it's function, though I'm sure it's fine. Just make sure you get the extended pilot bushing so you don't have to take your engine and tranny back out and start all over again like I did....

So Im going to need the 8-207 adapter with throwout bearing collar and the 8-617 bushing extender. I've allready got a 26 spline clutch in it. Is that all there is to it to get it to bolt up and connected the mechanical clutch? Are there any other adaptions needed?

You'll also need a crossmember and a shortened drive shaft.
