Well got internet through AT&T, asked for Express Card, got USB dongle.
I have had NOTHING but issues with getting connections, keeping connections, signal pick up and general bad taste for using AT&T(wanted Verizon cause it 3G here, but had a to come up with deposit)AT&T didnt.
So I went looking for remedy, asked questions etc. AT&T customer service told me if I bought my own Express card, I could take sim out, and slide it into Express card, no problem.
Well I found what I thought I needed (PCMCIA card) actually needed an Express 34/54 card.
Well Ebay had them between, 49.99 and 89.99, but never had enough saved to get one.
So buddy was pricing computer parts for a friend from church, and right on front page, 39.99 free shipping, unlocked AT&T Express card.OK whipped out card and ordered it.
WooHoo, pulled it out, pulled out dongle, removed sim, slid it into Express card, fired laptop up on trunk of car and holy toledo, had 5 full bars of signal strength, and was it faster!
Im sitting in my recliner, 4 bars to 5 bars all the time and no bottle necking at all, almost as fast as my buddies DSL or my Brothers Cable modem.
I am stoked, now it may not be as difficult to use alldata at work when mitchell wont let us online!
Color me happy!
