I know there are a lot of Michael Jackson fans out there, but man, enough is enough. Alright, I'm going to do a little ranting here, just bear with me. All this hoopla about MJ is really getting old in my opinion. I liked his music and all that, but isn't it time to give the real heros some time? I mean in the last two weeks how many of our soldiers have lost their lives in Iraq? These people have families too that are devastated by their loss, but do you see the media paying tribute to those people? No. Was there a monster gathering of people to give these guys and gals in the armed forces the respect and attention they deserved? again no. I know I'm just ranting, but what gives? I do not mean to offend anyone, but I think we as a nation has kinda lost sight of what's important.
Ok, I'm done......

I hear ya. I don't mind it as much as I just don't watch it. I think the major problem here is every single famous person on the world is looking at this as a chance to get more notice for themselves. Im sure some of them are genuine and really were MJ's friends. But seriously, how many people that have got on the news were really his friend? How many people have you seen in the media that you haven't heard from or seen in 10 years or more? a ton. they are all just using his death to make themselves seen again... thats it. None of em ever cared for the guy one way or another. Like I said, a few of them probably did know him, but all of these others douche's crawling out from under rocks to get their additional 15 seconds of fame... sickening.

Sick of it too. In fact, I told my wife like a day or two after he died that I would rather see more attention on our fellow countrymen serving our nation taking up headline time versus MJ. He was a man. Great performer and all, but this is ridiculous. They shut down the friggin 110 Freeway for 20 limos to get to the memorial today. Do you have any idea what that does to downtown LA traffic? Think of all the people trying to get to work who were impacted. F'in lame. I had people in our downtown office work from home today.
