What makes it junk? I don't know a lot about suspension, so I can't analyze it through a few photos. I do know that it has been around for a while, and was used on the high speed stunt cars in Gone In 60 Seconds. Anyway, I am curious. Please enlighten us!

definitely looks more like form over function to me.

They have an ad in the newest issue of Super Chevy.

I can't say that it's really junk. I know that they put it on the Eleanor clones as an option, and that there are a few people running around with that setup. I'd love to see a real world evaluation of it. I'm not gonna dismiss it as junk till it's proven.

All of the Eleanor Mustangs I've seen have the TCP rear suspension... which looks suspiciously like the one offered by Unique Performance. Hmmm....

But... Be careful saying a product is junk if you are not sure. I wonder what Katz and some other engineers think of it.

Ok, maybe junk was too strong of a word. How about, pointless. Five grand to save a few pounds of unsprung mass? It does not make sense. Even more so that the suspension is not optimized to each different car. If someone was going to spend five grand on an link suspension with a watts like, they could do better.

I was wondering the same thing about this set-up after seeing it in Super Chevy. I am not suspension educated enough to make a statement here, but it does look like a pretty awesome set-up.

For you suspension experts what type of rear suspension is the best for a track car?

I like the convertible version.

Did anyone notice the 69 Camaro in the background of the body shop?

There going to offer overpriced Camaros now with the mustang.

This has been hashed already on several sites including this one. I would not call it junk, just undeveloped. Here is the link to the original thread I started back in Feb. https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4344
If you really want to know about this setup go here and read this near 500 post thread at cc.com which includes the people who developed it.
It is the longest thread ever at cc.com. Simple searches should be your friend.
