How does the "resto" thing work? Really want to start something on my Camaro but have no clue how this works money wise. Here are a few questions that I would appreciate an answer to.

1. Can things be done in steps?
2. What happens if I cannot pay for the month?
3. Do you pay monthly or by steps in the project?

Really tired of seeing the car get covered by junk in the garage and I haven't the skills to move forward in the project. Would love to have someone show me and even get my hands dirty but what shop allows that. Many would say " Wait until you have enough set aside ", but I'm at the point of getting rid of the car cause I have lost alot of interest by not having the skills.

Thanks for listening to the "rant". God knows the wife doesn't understand our passion for these money pits.

1. Can things be done in steps?

Yes things can be done in steps. most of the work in our shop is partial builds. We may be dooing the fab. or the fab through paint (roller), Or maybe assembling one someone else painted. You should have to do a all or nothing deal to get work done.

2. What happens if I cannot pay for the month?

As for payment, the only safe method of billing for the customer is milestone payment. some amount to start, Another payemtn a a speciafic milestone, another when completed. Something like that. Weekly or monthly payments put you in risk of getting upsaide down pretty quick with a shop

3. Do you pay monthly or by steps in the project?

See above.
