Really ticks me off

Today I was sitting in a quiznos eating lunch in Pittsburgh. I was looking towards the window and seen a rav 4 back into an audi at least 3 times!! The dude walked into quiznos like nothing happend. I had to say something. He said he would leave a note. Ya right!! Luckily I seen the owner of the Auidi. He was able to confront the Rav owner and get his info. How many times has this happened that it has been unnoticed!!! It's a real pet peeve of mine!!!

I was in San Francisco one time and some little honda got pinned in by two other cars, by no fault of his own. Saw him arrive at teh scene, "WTF!!" it, and wait for 5-10 mins. Then he got in his car, visible pissed, and just started ramming in forwards and reverse until he had enough room to get out of the spot. I thought it was hilarious.

In very urban settings there is a just a different standard for "acceptable" with this stuff. Some amount of front & rear bumper contact pretty much has to be taken in stride.

I was driving through a Walmart parking lot one day a few years ago & watched this guy try to pull in a spot from the opposite direction (angled spaces). In doing so he took the rear bumper & quarter panel off of the Honda in the next space, he hit it HARD. I was in the next lane over when it happend, and as I came around I saw him get out of his car and look at the Honda then get back into his car & take off. I wrote down the plate # off of his car before he got away and took it into the security guard. He could have cared less, I didn't have my phone on me & he wouldn't call the cops or let me borrow a phone to. I was going to drive across the shopping center to another store where there was a payphone, but decided to leave a note on the Honda in case the owner came out before I made it back. Just when I went back over to the car wth the note, the woman who owned the car came out. She saw the car and started crying. I asked her if she had a phone & to call the cops, but she said she wanted to call her husband. Turned out her husband was a cop, he made it to our location before she was even off the phone. He got on the radio with the information I gave him and another cop got him a few miles away. He was drunk, no DL or insurance, & with multiple warrants.

I'm not surprised at that a Walmart associate was useless. I've met very few that have ever been worth a damn for more than just checking you out.

Was this a parallel parking job? I'd still be pissed. I just trying to figure out how someone could be so dumb as to hit a parked car three times.

If the guy in the Honda was in his space and the other cars weren't and were blocking him in, I'd have started doing this instantly and not wasted 5-10 minutes of my day. I'd be laughing too. If I ever end up in an urban center where parallel parking is common, I'm not driving anything nice into the place and will ram people incosiderate enough to block me in. If they don't care about me, I don't care about them

Between '87 and '04 I had and drove a couple of full sized GM vans (the ones designed in the late '60s early '70s). Never had a problem with people getting in the way or worse, try to take my right of way.
And for good reason. Those things were built like a tank and would tear a small car apart with very little harm to it's self. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.
Hardly a week goes by that I don't wish I still had one. In the hands of my wife it would become a weapon of mass destruction.

I got parked in at the video store once. Some guy just pulls into the parking lot and gets out, blocking three cars. I figured he was dropping off a video in the night slot and was coming right back. NOPE!

I REALLY wanted to turn on the red light and siren and just ram him with the push bumper, but dad frowns on me using his work toys for my personal gain. So I drove over the parking stops into the neighboring parking lot and escaped.

Watched a small car park way close to a 15 pass. van. A youkon took a to small spot in front but to stayaway from yellow strip with front bumper backed up close to van.
Well it had dark windows and all, turns out Inever saw handicapped sticker. Owner comes out, rear doors auto open, big scratch on small car hood, than the huge by large ramp came out flopped onto small car hood/windshield. Turns out the small car was over the blue line for handicapped spot.
Cop shows up, small car owner, throwing fit, flatbed drags small car up and hauls it away, much to owners dismay. Handicapped guy drops lift again and gets in van.
Oh small car wasnt owned buy normal everyday guy, it was young kid with more in wheels and stereo than the car.

About 10 years ago I was walking out to my Monte Carlo that was parallel park on the end at the intersection, this was at 7 am. Well low and behold some idiot did not want to walk 1/2 a block and had park on the corner, mind you this is on pretty healthy secondary street witth apartments all around. This idiot had put his freshly painted POS disposable car 1/2" away from my car locking me in, there was no way to get it out without a floor jack or knocking on doors till I found said moron (I would have knocked his head in if I had to find his butt). Well after looking at the situation for a moment and thinking about getting my floor jack out to pull the
POS out into the street (then calling the PD about an abandoned car in lane of travel), I noticed that the only contact that would be an issue is the trailer hitch on the rear of the Monte. Needless to say the offending car had it fresh paint scuffed by the hitch as it was shoved out into the street, tore up the urathane front cover and folded the front plate up on that POS too. :evil:

I have been to La, New york, Chicago, ect, and I guess door dings and small scuffs are acceptable?? But in in Pittsburgh you may get a real Steel City beating if the owner catches you in the act. It's just disrespectful!!
