Ok i just recently bought the performer rpm roller cam for my 87 firebird. And when i got it on the cam card it says not to use dual valve springs but to use edelbrock sure seat valve springs. When i went to edelbrocks website it said these valve spriings are intended for stock heads and require no machining.
If this is all accurate im very happy i can put my cam in while im saving for my heads. I guess all the roller stuff is more durable. Ive also went ahead and bought new roller lifters for it since when we rebuilt the motor we reused the original ones. The motor only has 10,000 miles on it so the heads are in great shape. What else would i need to put this cam in? New timing chain and a gasket set?
