I have an 03 Silverado & the other day I caught my son playing with the key fob for it. Now it will not lock, unlock the truck. I tried resynchronizing it to the truck, no luck, so I put a new battery in it & tried resynching it again, no luck. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Buy a service manual for it if available.

Is the wire/metal clip that the battery fits under broken loose from the printed circuit board ????
This happens a lot.
The battery may not be making a good connection.

Took it to the dealer & they checked it & said it works fine, but it wouldn't snych to the truck. So they had an extra laying around & gave it to me. Problem is that one & the other one we have are both #2, so only one works. Looks like I am buying another with #1 on the back.

I mistakenly took the truck out of "transmitter learning" mode between the two remotes. So the second one overwrote the first. To setup two remotes you have to do one right after the other while the vehicle is in learn mode.

The original first remote is still bad.
