Blake,

I think you're right. Someone screwed up. My guess is maybe the Front & Rears somehow got switched by accident?

I think it's Fords way of giving a big middle finger to the Govt, GM and Chrysler..

It's like "we didn't take the money and now you have to kill your performance cars and we can still build whatever we want!"

Good for them!

Looks like the wheel deal is on purpose. Look at the size of the wheel wells. That or a poor photoshop.

I'm not a big mustang guy... but that car is sexy!

The picture from the side, the wheels look like they are photochopped.

In fact, looking at all the photos.. I'd say they are concepts and Mr. I was added after the chop.

Yeah, I heard an ad on the radio the other day that said "The president drives a Ford Escape, and he runs GM."

Ouch.

It looks like a 05-09 rear and a '10 front. Clean, but I don't like the wheels. Sort of looks like it has a chopped top?

I think the regular mustangs should look like that. That is a sweet looking car.

Agreed, I love everything about it. I hate to admit this but I...I ..oh what the heck - I'm starting to like Fords. There that's the first time I've admitted that in public.

Its a trick of the photoprocessing, the wheels are not larger in front. As the side pic showing larger doesnt translate in digital inspection of other pics. But does look wierd, photog friend showed me what happened with his digi cam and lenses. he really hates getting away from film photography.

FWIW, Ford just took a $5 (or so) Billion loan to revamp closed plants for production of Elec Vehicles...

FWIW, Ford just took a $5 (or so) Billion loan to revamp closed plants for production of Elec Vehicles...

Ford,Nissan and Tesla took government loans to further development of a government/industry partnership to build green vehicles...this isn't a handout or bailout.

Ford will use some of the money to convert two truck plants to produce cars and help the company raise the fuel economy of nearly 2 million vehicles per year.

Ford plans on re-paying the loans in 2012 with interest...

I hear you there True...and I think Mulally is smarter than that.

I'm guessing his thinking is if the government want to help assist the manufacturers in developing green vehicles,he will play along.
I'm told Ford will continue to use their own resources to right the ship...

Yes, I understand this.

It is still sketchy at best, taking money (albeit "loans") from the Government. At $5 Billion, I would assume the Gov't would be Ford's largest creditor, and at the flick of a wrist couple cripple Ford, if need be. GM's bailout also started as a loan, and still is. Though the pretense is quite a bit different.

Also, I am at a mild unrest knowing the Gov't is giving money to foreign based manufacturers. Though that is nothing new.

That mustang is gorgeous. I wish the 2010 looked more like this. It looks too good to actually make production!

Agreed, I don't like the "pinched" rear bumper on the '10s. That smoothed rear on the '09.5 is pretty clean.

Also, remember on the wheels, that front wheel is still turned in at ~45* and throws off the eye/camera.

That's very sharp- and clean!
I was showing my kids, and my 10 YO daughter says,"Dad, that looks like a Mustang and a Chrysler!" I explained who the man standing next to the car was, and his importance at both companies.
Funny how she'd make a connection there.

Hey Steve, I designed the wheel for this car (Iacocca Mustang) up at Metal Crafters. Casti
