Hello all ,
Joe here from Chicago. Recently purchased a super clean 1955 Chevy Bel-Air 2-door Hardtop from a nice old man in Michigan. This is the ultimate classic car in my opinion , and am looking to make it into a Pro-Touring monster.
I will post some pics of the car as soon as the weather is nice enough to take some, Chicago weather is kinda wacky at the momment, actually it is always kinda wack :hammer:
Anyways , I look forward to being an active member on this board , and to learn allot along the way.
Later ,

No joke about the weather. 60 degrees one day, 25 the next. Anyway, I'm just west of Naperville in Montgomery.

Hi ProTeall...I'm in Lombard. I got a '55 sedan in those same colors (my fav on that car). It is not my current project though. Currently building a GN turbo motor for my Malibu Wagon. Not a true PT car, but I love this stuff!!! welcome.

Welcome ProTeal, I'm in Clarendon Hills. We have a pretty cool cruise night on Main street in Downers Grove on Friday nights starting on May 20th and ending Sept 9th. Always a good time and about 200 cars or so. Nice shoebox, 55 is my fav and the color is perfect.

FlynLo ,
Thanks for the dates on the Downers Grove cruise nights. I had a 72 Pro-Street nova about three years ago which made all the cruise nights , except the D.Grove show. I will be their this year int he 55. If you see me drivin around stop me and say hi. The plates on the car will read FIFTY5.

ProTeal,
No problem with the dates. If I'm not mistaken they have a tri-5 night where all the 55,56,and 57's park on a side street for special judging (I'll have to check on that date). I look forward to meeting you and getting a look at your 55. Unfortunatly I'll only be a spectator this year as my car is being upgraded this season.
