Also beside the supercharger brackets tubing what do I need to complete the install? Thankyou in advance for all your help

Are you looking for a roots blower that mounts on top of the engine or a Procharger/Vortec that mounts to the front of the engine?

vortech or procharger probably i don't want to cut a whole in the hood.

Procharger has a kit for putting their blower on a SBC. Check their website and I'm sure you can find pictures and options. You can see if your accessories will work with the blower or not. I'm thinking you can use traditional Vbelts or a serpentine setup with the kit but I'm not 100% certain.

If you're planning to run an intercooler, Procharger has a kit for it as well but last I checked it was universal fit. They supply the intercooler and tubing/hoses but you have to do the cutting and layout to make it correctly fit your car.

You'll need a blow through carb and a fuel pump upgrade.

You may want to check out Magnuson as well. I think their carbureted setup might fit under the hood. Check with them for fitment.

Procharger has a few options when it comes to custom setups. Will you run fuel injection or a carb?

I will be running a carb for a long time don't want to go to thru all the work to convert my car to fuel injection.

I have a 55 chevy with a 496 with a Vortec universal kit for carb and motor is 3/4 of an inch foward and trimed radiator support about 1/2 inch where the belt is on backside of support. Vortec is good about questions one might have.
