Now this is located north, northeast of houston on i believe highway 59,but i had asked him to give me an example of what he had and he randomly told me he had a 70's model camaro running for $1200...to me thats a steal...now i still have the phone number to the place but haven't tried it in a awhile...anyone interested????

I drive that way at least once a week. The only place I can think of has a bunch of junk scattered around. Have you been there or do you have an address? I'm going to be up that way tomorrow.

A list of the cars would be awesome. Even if it isnt super specific, it would be interesting to see whats available. Does the guy have a business or is he just selling stuff he has collected over the years?

So I called Jonathan and talked for a few minutes about his collection. He buys and sells this stuff in varying conditions, some are decent drivers, some are basket cases. Over 500 vehicles. Years range from 27 Buick to 75 GM. Sounds like most of his collection includes 50's GM and Ford.

He really wanted nothing to do with giving me a list. He said I need to ask for specific stuff and come and take a look. I've got no shot at that so I'll just pass the info along.

Address is 15717 HWY 59 Splendora, TX 77327.

Nice guy, very friendly.

From our quick discussion he mentioned:

72 Buick GS 350
A few late 60's Chevelles and Cutlasses
60 Biscayne
59 or 60 Elcy
56 Lincoln
59 Caddy limo (he has 6 old Caddys)
40 Chevy conv
41 Chevy conv
Some old Porsches and Mercedes
Possibly some early 70's Fbodies
Early 60's GMs (don't think he has bubble tops)

It would be great if someone in the area could take a quick inventory.

If you google map the address to the right of highway 59 you see quite a few cars sitting in various fields. Can't really get in close enough to see the detail but I would suspect there are quite a few cars there and probably more in the trees.

There's a similar (even larger) cache of cars up in the northeast (i want to say CT) that has thousands of rusting cars just sitting in the woods. Sad.....

Yeah, that's the place I was thinking about. I may be that way in about two weeks. I'll bring a camera and take some pictures if he will let me. He occasionally parks some of the 'Nicer' ones out front. I seriously doubt 500 cars are there unless he has a different location. Hwy 59 just North of King street on the south side of Splendora.

FYI, Splendora is a notorious speed trap!

These were the satellite shots of what I think to be the lot. It's on the west side of 59 (southbound) just south of 2090. He said the name of the place is "Classic Cars".

Let's play.....What's that car?

That would be very interesting to walk around in. The group of cars directly behind the house is a good stock of some type sports or muscle car. They are not there in two of the other photos so he either moving them around a lot or the arials are at quite a bit differant times.

Veryyyy Interestinc............

Lots of stuff there

That pack of cars behind the office looks like a bunch of 2nd gens ( a few with t-tops). I see a few elcys in there too.
