I deliver pizza with an 86 F150 2 wheel drive. I own 5 80s F150s and front suspensions get a beating with all of the in town driving I do. I'm looking to install spherical (spelling?) rod ends on its otherwise stock suspension where the outer tie rods currently are. Any other suggestions?

Not a good idea...
Yea, I know, the race car guys use them all the time but how many mudholes do you see them running through and did you know the bearings are changed after nearly every race?
Sphericals are "tougher" yes, but in a day to day driving situation you will go through them quicker then you will a good set of poly/graphite bushings. Muddy water and spherical bearings don't mix well. The grit will get into them and eat them up from the inside out.
Not to mention the harshness they will add to your trucks ride.
I wouldn't do it...

What if I put rubber boots on them with some grease packed in there?
