Thinking about building something like an 80 fairmont 4 door, kinda low, 17" wheels, already have a nice 306 for it, kinda like a Ford equivalent to a Pro touring Malibu. But why don't you see much of them? Resto parts not available? Not that cool looking? I think it could be cool and I know it's been done but I'm hesitant.
Anyone know of some cool pictures?

Somewhere deep down, I have always thought the Fairmont had some potential. I like it when people take something kind of mundane and ordinary and make it so cool that you have to like it. That is the way Trepanier's Chicayne hit me, Biscayne's weren't even on my radar until I saw how that car came out.

It's a great platform, uses most of the fox body mustang parts.

Here's a nice looking one:

Not exactly PT, but still cool. Jim Neuenfeldt Fairmont:

I don't know where you're located, so I don't know if I am convenient to you, but I have an '87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe I will be parting out. Might be a few good parts in there to swap into your Fairmont project.

Fox-body Fords are sweet. Easy to hop up, with a myriad of parts available.

Welcome! A Fairmont's got potential and lots of parts availability. If you think you might ever decide to sell it, a 2door would be easier to sell and bring a higher price.

I you decide on more doors, do a wagon. I always thought that
would be a great sleeper!

I have a 92 Mustang Notchback that needs an engine and transmission, it has all 5 lug stuff, Bullitt Wheels, 13" Cobra brakes up front and 10.5" discs in the rear on the 96 GT 8.8 rear with 3.27 gears. It was a 4 cylinder car buut i also have a full 5.0 Efi engine harness for it too.
