Thanks everyone!
I was told that my photos suffered from "Center-syndrome"
Here's two that aren't 'centered'

A tip or rule given to me by a pro... Always position the car in the frame so that there is room for the car to move forward. The last two you posted are nice, but they break the "rule". Space in the frame should be on the opposite side...like the 4th picture of your first batch. :1st:
If you want more info to explain why you would not typically want to center the "subject", read up on "The rule of thirds."

Thanks for the reminder :)
I was breaking that rule as an experiment, I wanted to see what it would be like. :)
Check out my website and you'll see good examples of the rule of thirds ;)

Are those images HDR or were they post-processed in another way?
I'd be interested in seeing them a little more natural. Their current presentation seems just a little over the top. In my opinion, you lose some of the subtle details of the car lines and place the focus on the surroundings. Otherwise I really like them. :twothumbs

I can assure you that these are NOT HDR. HDR on cars is just... well... goofy.
The only thing done to these photos are simple curves adjustments.

First photo would have been amazing if you turned the headlights on, and had a folding reflector lighting up the nose to match the sides of the car. Nice pics.

Do you have the larger size images hosted anywhere?
Those pics are amazing (as is the car)... I'd like some screen size shots to add to my screen saver.

Yea, I do need a good reflector. It was kinda hard as I was alone too :(
Here's a few backgrounds for you Chevy42083:)

Wow, really nice work.
I still chop the heads of the folks I shoot.

Hey Eric,
You've got some great photos there and on your website. As the other Tony mentioned, you should get yourself a reflector. If you're like me, I end up shooting by myself at times...especially when shooting my own car...it's hard to get people to hang around and take orders while you shoot your own car. :) I went on eBay and bought myself a remote shutter for my Canon. It was only about $15 and from China. Canon wanted $150 at the time for a remote. $15 was more in my budget. ...anyway, the remote allows me to stand a couple hundred feet away with a reflector and shoot. It also allows me to shoot and not have to touch/move the camera. It was the best accessory I've purchased as of yet. It's much better than running back and forth setting the timer. :)

Have you seen this book by Cartech Books? I haven't, but heard it's insightful...even for seasoned guys.

Tony, Thanks for the compliments.
Thanks for the book idea, I didn't even know something like that even existed! :)
I will certainly have to pick it up.
