69 camaro cowl hood crest to high??

Anyone else have experience with the aftermarket cowl hood's crest being too high in the middle of the front? Seems like the hood is higher in the middle or I have a bad repop header panel. Hood sits flat near the fenders and get progressively higher near the middle.

Ron, I had that same problem. There is a little bit of room for adjustment on the center support bracket. If you go up on it, it may very well bring the valance up enough to make it flush.

If I remember correctly, mine didn't go up enough, so I had to add some washers between the hood lock mechanizim and the center support backet.....it just makes the hood lock raise up....as it's what the valance is connected to.

Hey Joe, thanks for the post. I was able to get a little more by shimming the header up a little at the middle support bracket. All these aftermarket repops are just so much fun...LOL
