i talked to marcus at sc&c and he said 550# springs for my set up but just checking on a brand that is reliable. i have a ca rear coilover setup in the rear with 175# springs and a spohn rear adj sway bar and in the front i just ordered upper and lower spc ca's stage 2 and a hellwig front 1 1/8th front bar with double adj varishocks in the front... i dont know if i want the full set of spc springs if i only need the fronts but if the fronts are pricey then ill just get the matched set. any feedback would be awesome.....oh and its going on a 71 chevelle with a smallblock for now...

550# springs is a good all around rate, and may be firm on the street, but will be enough for the track. Keep in mind stock was about 300#

Marcus knows his stuff. I have used Hyperco springs (on the rear) and am happy with them. Speedway only sells the fronts in high rates (925 to 1450 anyone?) Look for others from the circle track suppliers. The springs run about $50 each. Note that most of these are short and meant to be used with adjusters. Ask Marcus for the length you should get.
