Does anybody know if there is a replacement tire for the 2007 Z06 besides the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT Run-flat tire ?
I've searched Tirerack and they only list General , Bridgestone , and the Goodyear.
The Goodyears wear out so fast. ( 10,000 miles )

Does anybody know of a good replacement ???

Check on the Corvette Form. I have heard good things about the Generals for the money.

the Nitto Invo's, Pilot sports. That new Kumho tire (XS) that Rupp was running comes in those sizes as well. Toyo R888 too.

There has been a lot of good talk on the NT05 Nitto's over on the corvetteforum. (I think they are going 285/335 instead of 275/325) The invo's have some loyal followers but they also seem to have a lot of complaints about being washy or mushy on turn in.

If you in favor of 200ft burnouts like Randy, the general's are the bargain and seem to be a decent tire for the $. (and they have more tread to start with too.)

Right now my short list is the NT05 or Kumho Ecsta XS. The Pilot's are claimed to save around 10 pounds over the GY's if weight is a concern to you.

YUP, We're selling the NT05's for the Corvette Forum guys like HOT CAKES. 285 front, and 335 rear, and they are right about 1000/set. We can't keep them in stock long enough!

Talking briefly to Johnny O'connel at this year's Long Beach Grand Prix, he said the Michelins Pilot Sports really transformed his streetcar (a Corvette of course) . . . nevermind that the Corvette racing team is sponsored by Michelin, I think he was quite sincere.

I think the reason tire rack limits your choices is because it assumes you need another set of runflats. Try again searching for tires by P-metric size and then see what comes up.

Oh , They're not for me.
It's for a customer of mine at the Chevy Dealership.
He goes through a set of the Goodyears every 10,000 miles .
I'm trying to find him a better alternative.

The next event in Ga. will be next year.
But , there is the Motor State Challenge in June and Run thru the Hills in Sept.
