Woohoo, guess everyone in parking lot was thinking I'm possessed, but part of add on kit for my new tool is like another 130 bucks,,,BUT I built it for like less than $6 from parts from electronics store and old Esoteric Audio RCA cable set laying around.
Now IF I can adapt the RPM pick up and figure out how to make the 8 cylinger adapter (8cyl adapter is $1500!!!).

I know you're happy and all -- but you've not really given any good info here.
Tell us about the tool, tell us about the addon, tell us about the parts to make it, tell us how we can do the same... :)

I got Snap On to up my credit and got a Vantage Pro Graphing Multimeter to replace the older unit with a bleeding LCD screen. It has Ignition Scope capabilities and the single cylinder pick up from my old unit would fit but I need cable, well its simply 2 banana plugs and a ground wire. SO I had an old pair of Esoteric audio RCA cables one with bad end, and I made the connector I needed after a trip to local electronics store for banana plugs and where I work Pep Boys.
And it works, I'll post up pics soon.
Saved most of about 130 bucks for single cyl pick up, still need to figure out RPM pick up and the 8 cylinder 1500 dollar unit.
Havent got rechargeable batteries for digi cam yet but heck 24 pack of AA batts are only 5.99 at work and I get 20% off!
Pics coming, I SWEAR.
