I guess I should first, quickly introduce myself! :) Hi everyone, great site here, TONS of great info. I learn each time I sit and read through old threads!

Ok, I'm just beginning to purchase a lot of 'front end' related hardware here very soon and have been reading for over a week now, to include Pozzi's site.

Regarding the steering boxes, I've noticed that my best options seem to be the these:

1. 84-92 Chevrolet Camaro with Performance Suspension
http://69camaro.nextmill.net/steering.html

2. AGR

3. Lee's (umm. website leaves a little to be desired. lol!)
http://www.leepowersteering.com/

4. DSE600

5. late 70's WS6 rebuilt. (is that too old school?) :)

My problem is that while I probably can't go wrong with any of these, I don't want to get short-changed either! (no $$ pun intended there)
Like anyone else, I just want the best one that will make me happy. Too heavy of a feel or too light are both probably not very desireable.

I'll only race my girl at a road course maybe once a year, other than that it's just aggressive street driving or country driving.
There WILL be plenty of need for slow, parking lot/city style turning as well.

Would one or two of the above vendors be better suited to me than the others' ?

The car is being rebuilt from the ground up, so, I'm leaning towards DSE coilovers, GW/DSE/Speedtech upper and lower A-arms, LS1/LS2/LS6.

Thanks for the advice guys....

Lee is a great guy but not computer oriented AT ALL!
I had my box and pump done by him and it cost $600. I don't have it running yet.

We put an AGR box in my wife's 73 Camaro and it is great. The advatage of using an AGR box is, the coupler and hose fittings are stock, although we used aftermarket hoses on ours.

The DSE box is supposed to be the new Saginaw design with "rack and pinion technology" It looks a bit more compact, is supposed to have a better feel. Other vendors have this box too.

The coilovers won't make your car handle any better but make ride height adjustment easier.

Is that 73 a 'front steer' design? I noticed the AGR boxes at Summit Racing and they all say 'front steer'. Tried to call AGR but they've already closed for the day. :-/

I searched for 30 min for another dealer on the new Saginaw 600 and I swear I haven't seen one yet!
If anyone has a tip, please pass it on!

Any one know about the new aluminum Flaming River GM replacement box?
